Reviews & Rankings Policy
How “Best” pages are selected and why they are not universal recommendations.
Review signals
User-review signals can be displayed when the site owner has approved the source/value used for the product. PhilaLoan does not automatically turn those signals into Review or AggregateRating schema merely because they appear visually.
Rankings are separate from reviews
A provider's position in an editorial comparison should follow the comparison methodology, not the number or sentiment of user reviews alone. Review data can be context; it does not replace price, product, legal or provider-role evidence.
Manipulation is not allowed
The site should not buy positive reviews, suppress legitimate negative feedback in exchange for compensation or present fabricated testimonials as customer experience.
External references
Review and ranking practices are checked against Federal Trade Commission — Consumer Reviews and Testimonials Rule. Any displayed review metric or comparison snapshot should also retain its approved source/account record and refresh date.
Accountability in practice
This information is tied to the operating and editorial process described on the site. Named roles, commercial relationships, review methods and security statements should match the current production configuration rather than a generic trust template.
When this page changes
Update the page when the responsible team, workflow, methodology, commercial relationship or supporting evidence changes materially. Keep the effective date and the reason for important corrections visible where they affect consumers.

The primary author is shown separately from the editor, fact-checker and financial reviewer so each responsibility is explicit.
